Mounting base maximum outside diameter: 7.1 inches ![]() Mounting base bolt circle diameter: 6.5 inches Height (not including fittings): 8.9 inches If a single pump is required, please see our other FSTs available in the store. The MPFST is sold in 2 or 3 pumps configurations. Please select the preferred combination of pumps from the list. If pumps are needed, the surge tank will come pre-assembled with sock filters installed. If this is preferred, please select “… Pumps Not Included” The MPFST is available without pumps and prepped for the user to install their own pumps. If only 2 pumps are used, a plug is included to cap the unused fuel pump outlet fitting. However, if -8AN and/or -10AN port fittings are required, they can be purchased separately HERE. The remaining black port fittings are used for fuel entering and exiting the tank. These are bespoke adapters which are only available in -6AN male. A fuel surge tank (FST) is designed to prevent fuel starvation to the engine on vehicles with inadequate fuel tank baffling. Green fittings signify the fuel pump outlets. The internal hoses are a special fluoroelastomer formulation that resists permeation internally and externally making it submersible in all types of fuel. This volume is maintained by the main fuel tanks pump. All internal wires are gasoline, ethanol, and methanol compliant. The volume of fuel inside the surge tank acts as a buffer to always keep the FST pump supplied with fuel. The FST incorporates a multi-pin high amperage sealed electrical bulkhead connector. The pumps are mounted using an anodized aluminum bracket. ![]() The Walbro F90000274 E85 pumps are shown above. The MPFST can be configured to use up to three fuel pumps. It is anodized for long lasting protection from corrosive fuels such as ethanol. 2.1L Fuel Surge Tank System with Speed Controllable, Twin Screw DC Brushless Fuel Pump, 600lph. The Radium Engineering Multi-Pump FST is constructed from 100% CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum. 24″ Flying Lead Color Coded Wiring Harness Mounting Feet for Uneven Surface Installations Removeable O-Ring Sealed 6061 Aluminum Caps This is an excellent fueling solution for vehicles installing large demand power upgrades such as forced induction. The surge tank also provides a quick and easy way to upgade any standard fuel system without opening the stock fuel tank. Excess fuel in the surge tank is returned back to the vehicle’s main fuel tank. This volume is maintained by the main fuel tank’s pump as well as the fuel returning from the fuel pressure regulator. The volume of fuel inside the surge tank acts as a buffer to always keep the FST pump(s) supplied with fuel. The FST fuel pump(s) feed the fuel rail(s). We also offer an upgrade accessory kit for both pots containing: Floor mount bracket, Hardware, XRP Pro Plus hose assembly and 90 degree high flow fitting.A fuel surge tank (FST) is designed to prevent fuel starvation to the engine on vehicles with inadequate fuel tank baffling. It maintains a small amount of fuel to operate its own internal fuel pump(s) that can supply high fuel flow rates, while only needing low fuel pressure from the main fuel tank pump. Inside the Cobra brushless fuel pump has been engineered to provide precise fuel flow. This Setup is particularly suitable for vehicle racing such as circuit, drift and off road use where fast changes in G-forces can allow air to be picked up by the main fuel pump. Then three 3/4 – 16 UNF (AN8) Ports can be used for return ports and feed ports to the Fuel Surge Tank. 3/4 – 16 UNF (AN8) outlet port has been used to make sure flow is not restricted going up to the engine. Partnering with Fuelab on the design every aspect of the pot has been made to be easy to use and practical. This Fuel Surge Tank has been designed to be light weight but also perform in some of the most demanding applications to prevent fuel starvation due to fuel surge or limited tank baffling. ![]()
